Founded by Michael Carey, Stock & Trade Design Co. was created in 2012, within a 1,000 sq. ft. showroom in Birmingham, Alabama. Michael’s love for furniture and design was born from a passion for real estate and construction. Now 10 years later, Stock and Trade is growing strong with 5 retail stores, a growing social media presence and solid business to business relationships within our communities. We are now poised for our next stage; the launch of our flagship store at The District in Santa Rosa Beach.
Pay depends on experience and work status. Hiring part-time to start immediately. Generous employee discount after 90 days.
Prefer 2 years previous experience in a shipping/receiving, warehouse or logistics role, but not required.
A combination of education, training and experience that results in demonstrated competency to perform the work may be substituted.
Unload trucks.
Operate hand-trucks, dollies, pallet jacks and other moving equipment to receive and move large quantities of merchandise.
Ability to read/match merchandise SKU’s on shipping slips to items picked.
Sort and organize shipments in warehouse to ensure maintenance of a safe and clean work space.
Focus on task at hand, attention to detail and working quickly when receiving in merchandise.
Engage vendors, drivers and customers with a positive attitude.
Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with team and supervisors.
Assist sales team members with restocking sales floor with large furniture items, such as dining tables, cabinets, sofas, etc.
Assist clients with loading purchased merchandise into vehicles.
Education: High School Education or equivalent preferred.
Must be able to lift minimum 20 lbs over head to a height of 92 inches.
Position spends a large amount of time standing, walking, lifting, pulling and pushing - rest periods provided.
